The Certificated Enforcement Agent (Bailiff) Register Applications

You can search these pages for all individuals who have made an application to the county court for a certificate which, if granted, will allow them to enforce debts and fines using the Taking Control of Goods procedure.

These pages also show details of all existing enforcement agents who have applied to re-new their current certificate.

The register contains the applicant’s name and employer, the name of the county court where the application will be heard and the date of the hearing.

The law says that only "fit and proper" individuals should hold these certificates. If you are aware of any serious concerns about an applicant, you may write to the court manager at the named court, providing reasons with supporting evidence that a certificate should not be granted. If you wish this information to be considered at the application hearing, you must ensure this information is provided to the court no later than the day before the allocated hearing date.
